Terms at Playtribe

Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Playtribe app and this website. By creating an account or using Playtribe, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Who we are

Playtribe is an app for finding and hosting casual sport events near you. For questions about these terms, reach us through the contact page.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create a Playtribe account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile and for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

Events and in-person meetups

Playtribe helps you find and organize sport events with other users, but we are not a party to those events and don't organize, supervise or insure them. You choose who to meet and where. Use common sense: meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and use your own judgment about who to play with. Playtribe is not responsible for the conduct of any user, for injuries, losses or disputes arising from an event, or for a host cancelling or a participant not showing up.

Payments between users

Some events let hosts split costs (e.g. court rental) with participants. Playtribe does not process, hold or move money — the app only opens a deep link to MobilePay or Revolut with the amount and the recipient's handle pre-filled, and the actual payment happens directly between users inside that other app. Playtribe is not a payment provider and is not responsible for payments that are sent, not sent, or sent incorrectly.

Community conduct

Be respectful. Don't harass, discriminate against, threaten or impersonate other users; don't post false, misleading or illegal content; don't use Playtribe to solicit money outside of the cost-splitting feature described above, sell products, or spam other users. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms, including based on reports from other users, without prior notice.

Reliability score, reports and blocking

Playtribe shows a reliability score based on attendance history confirmed by hosts, and lets you report or block other users. These features are provided to help the community stay safe and are not a guarantee about any user's behavior. We may act on reports at our discretion, including by warning, restricting or removing an account.

Content you post

You keep ownership of the photos, messages and other content you post, but you give Playtribe a license to store, display and distribute it within the app so the service can work (for example, showing your profile photo to other users, or your messages to the people in a chat). You're responsible for having the rights to anything you post.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, scrape or abuse Playtribe's systems, attempt to bypass security or rate limits, or use the app for anything illegal. We may suspend access if we detect abuse.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Playtribe available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — features can change, and the service can be paused or discontinued. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account, or from the account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or create risk or legal exposure for Playtribe or other users.

Disclaimer and liability

Playtribe is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Playtribe is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other users or anything that happens at an in-person event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Danish or EU law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.

Changes to these terms

If we make a meaningful change, we'll update this page and the date below. Continuing to use Playtribe after a change means you accept the updated terms.
